6 Major Limitations and salient features of Nokia Lumia 920

Nokia is a well known brand in mobile phones industry; a brand that projects high technology and perfection; a brand which can be blindly trusted upon. But experts in tech field pointed out at some major limitations in its new smartphone- Nokia Lumia 920.

Nokia Lumia

With a colorful splash, this company have introduced a new range of Smartphones in the market which are sure to attract your eyes. This new avatar, called NOKIA LUMIA 920, comes With Carl Zeiss lens, PureView technology with Optical Image Stabilization  a 4.5’’ PureMotion HD+ display, super-fast processor, huge memory space, wireless charging and attractive colorful body. It is considered as one of the best Windows 8 Phone device in the Smartphone world. Nokia Lumia 920.

It is almost impossible to find any flaws with the design and all the more impossible not to like it at the very first instance.

Is there anything that this small beauty is lacking and which could make it the sweet-heart of every Smartphone lover? Indeed, there are some features which if implemented could have rock the world. They are:

1. Customized User-Interface:

Nokia Lumia displays the same old User-Interface (UI) which we observe in each and every Windows Phones. You can very easily customize the start screen of Nokia Lumia phone if you know how to customize the start screen of any Windows 8 phone; and thus it may become a bit boring to tech savvy people who are always on the lookout for challenging and new experiences. It do not gives a personal customized experience to the phone-owners. As all the windows Phone projects the same displays and acts in the same way, there exist no way of differentiation it from the other phones other than preloading certain apps. This is certainly not exciting for any of us.  So, if Nokia Lumia 920 has gone for its own exclusive software for UI, then it would surely have been a slightly better phone.

2. More compact and slim design:

Just like Nokia Lumia 822, Lumia 920 is also a beautiful android phone but is a bit bigger than its competitors in the market. We understand that, thinning on design and making the body more compact would have resulted in the smaller screen size, so we leave it to the individual users to make a choice here. In fact, Nokia seem to have paid not much attention to this fact and thus have continued with the similar design as that of the Lumia 900.

3. Lacking in expandable storage:

This is an issue only for those users who stores all their info, data and media on their Smartphones. Nokia Lumina 920 comes with 32GB of internal storage space. So, this memory space is pretty big for an average user but we think it could have been all the more better if Lumia 920 would have a MicroSD card slot. Who wouldn't appreciate  an extra expandable storage space of at least 16GB or 32GB? Nokia has lacked in foresight here.

4. Loss-less Zoom: More Megapixels:

Nokia Lumia 920 comes with Carl Zeiss lens, PureView technology of 808 with Optical Image Stabilisation, a 4.5’’ PureMotion HD+ display but it lacks Loss-less zoom. For this, the devices need to have more Megapixels resolution to cut from. This is one of the desirable features which the super cool camera of Lumia 920 lacks.

5. Lumia 920 Price towers over Galaxy S III:

Nokia Lumia 920 is, indeed, a wonderful Smartphone which is manufactured keeping in mind the demands and utility of an average smartphone user but its price in the market are much higher than its closer competitor Galaxy S III. This could be a major setback on its selling value in the smartphone world.

6. Lack of Apps:

Nokia Lumina 920 works on Windows Phone Platform which lacks both the number and the variety of apps when compared to both iPhone and Android. To be more successful with Lumia 920, the company needs to attract developers to build more interesting apps for it.

Conclusion:

No doubt Nokia Lumia is one of the best windows 8 smartphones in the market. We all hope to see fault-less and perfect designs in the upcoming models of this company.
